Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pasture; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

He is a LEADER

He is with us

His GOOdness and mercy follows us

Even in the OLD TESTAMENT, God wanted relationship with us!

In Psalms 23 it shows us that He is more to us than our understanding of Him. Some of us just see Him being OVER us. But through His scripture He tells us He is WITH US (He even put on flesh to physically be with us!)

He also wants us to know that while His goodness and mercy shouldn’t be treated as some bargaining tool, He assures us that they will not only be in our lives but FOLLOWING us while on this righteous path! Leading up to dwell with Him in His house Forever!!
